Would you like to work as a chef surrounded by beautiful Norwegian nature? Vinjekroa is looking for a reliable and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team in Åmot, Vinje.

Vinjekroa is a traditional Norwegian roadside restaurant located in the heart of Telemark, close to Hardangervidda. Recently renovated and under new ownership, the restaurant combines traditional Norwegian hospitality with good, homemade food. Our menu includes classic Norwegian dishes as well as burgers, pizza and other popular dishes. We also host events and private functions.

We are looking for a chef who enjoys working in a varied kitchen and takes pride in serving good, consistent food.

Your responsibilities

Preparing and cooking dishes from our menuPreparing traditional Norwegian dishes as well as burgers, pizza and other dishesEnsuring consistent quality and presentationFollowing food safety and hygiene proceduresKeeping the kitchen clean, organised and efficientPreparing ingredients and managing mise en placeWorking closely with the rest of the kitchen and restaurant teamContributing to smooth daily kitchen operationsAssisting with food preparation for events and larger functions when required

We are looking for someone who

Has previous experience working as a chef or cookIs comfortable working independently when requiredWorks efficiently and stays organised during busy periodsIs reliable, flexible and takes responsibilityHas a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a teamUnderstands the importance of hygiene, quality and consistencyCan communicate in English or a Scandinavian language

Experience with Norwegian or Scandinavian cuisine is an advantage.

In addition to the daily restaurant operation, Vinjekroa hosts weddings, birthdays, confirmations, company events and other private functions.
