Software Test Engineer

Experienced individual contributor that will work closely with the Engineering team. Main focus and work will be on new product development and product maintenance ensuring that our software releases maintain the right quality for customer expectations.Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Develop procedures and methods to test and qualify functional products requirements and continuously work to improve testing methodsDevelop test procedures and automated test scripts for units and systems. Perform qualifications test to verify functionalityQualify and test software, algorithms and embedded systemsBe a resource for project manager and department managers in evaluating risks, timelines and challenges in projects.Undertake analysis and investigation to solve differing, but related, problemsGive input and suggest improvements to company best practices and tools.Provide support and guidance to the engineering teamEnsure software quality by testing new and existing implementationsBuild automated test tools to deliver smarter testing and better coverage.Review colleagues work.Technical contributor within team.Lead test teams / efforts on an ad hoc basis.

Proven track record in testing and test methodsSolid discipline competencies within testing and softwareEngineering Degree or Technical College within electronics, software, sensors, mechatronics or other relevant field. Lack of formal education may be compensated with relevant experience.ABillity to gain solid understanding of our core technologies.Abillity to lead test efforts and direct work on test activities utilizing personell less skilled in SW testThis function requires interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to make engineering decisions and judgements.Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.Must be able to work and perform in a multidisciplinary engineering team.Plans & AlignsPlanning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. Sets objectives to align with broader organizational goals. Breaks down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions. Stages activities with relevant milestones and schedules.
