An exciting opportunity has become available at Kongsberg Discovery for a Manufacturing Operator / Skilled Manufacturing Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and quality-assuring our high-tech products. These products operate in demanding environments at great depths, which means that all products must undergo thorough manufacturing and testing processes.
You will be part of a dedicated, technically skilled, and quality-focused team. Your main responsibilities will include carrying out assembly and testing in accordance with established procedures, ensuring that products meet the required quality standards, and reporting and following up on any deviations that may be identified.
For this position, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn, structured, and highly focused on quality, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. If you also enjoy working independently and taking ownership of your tasks, we would be pleased to receive your application.
What you will be doing
Perform pressure testing safely and efficiently, including test preparation, monitoring, and quality controlContribute to the companys HSE initiatives and support a safe and collaborative working environmentMaintain accurate documentation and ensure full traceability of all work performedEnsure proper maintenance and control of tools and equipmentAssemble and handle equipment, including tasks that may be physically demandingIdentify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities across processes and workflowsCommunicate findings, non-conformities, and improvement opportunities with the Team Leader, Product Owners, and other Kongsberg employees
We think you should have
Experience from manufacturing, assembly, repair, testing, or similar technical workA vocational certificate in Production Technology or a related field is an advantage; full training will be providedGood communication skills in both Norwegian and EnglishCrane operator certification is an advantage
