The position is particularly suited to candidates with experience from large-scale construction, data center, mission-critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, or other technically complex projects.

Candidates may be based locally in Northern Norway or elsewhere in Norway. Flexible work schedules are available, including:

    Weekly commuting

    3 weeks on / 1 week off

    10 days on / 4 days off

Accommodation and travel related to the agreed rotation schedule are provided.

English is the working language on site, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates from diverse professional backgrounds.

Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, site teams, consultants, and project stakeholders, including interfaces with other construction and engineering disciplines

Monitor programme milestones, progress, productivity, quality, cost, and safety to ensure successful package delivery

Review and approve mechanical designs, plans, modifications, documentation, and technical solutions

Conduct inspections, resolve mechanical and engineering issues, and follow up defects, non-conformities, and corrective actions

Ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, building codes, industry standards, and safety requirements, stopping work when necessary

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical management, package management, or a similar role on large-scale construction projects

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems, together with construction methods, safety requirements, and industry regulations

Experience delivering complex mechanical packages through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover

Proven ability to lead subcontractors and site teams while controlling schedule, productivity, quality, cost, and safety

Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with fluent written and spoken English

Professional or fluent English, both written and spoken

Advantageous Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline

Experience from data center, mission-critical, industrial, or pharmaceutical projects

Experience with project management, design, and construction management software

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces and resolving technical issues during construction and commissioning

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces and managing electrical system completion, commissioning, and handover

Who We Are Looking For

A confident and collaborative leader who takes ownership and coordinates teams and subcontractors effectively

Structured, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise workload and make sound decisions in a fast-paced project environment

Proactive and solution-oriented when resolving technical challenges, quality issues, and delivery risks

Quality- and safety-focused, with the confidence to intervene and implement corrective actions when required

An effective communicator who can influence, build relationships, and work across multidisciplinary teams

What We Offer

Permanent employment and career development opportunities within a growing international organization

Responsibility for a major mechanical package on a technically advanced data center construction project

Hands-on experience with complex, mission-critical mechanical systems alongside experienced project and engineering professionals

Flexible work schedules, with accommodation and travel provided according to the agreed rotation schedule

A professional and multicultural project environment where you can contribute directly to safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery
