SERO is looking for an Area Manager (Product Specialist) to drive sales, business development and customer support across an assigned territory in the Nordic region.
The role combines scientific expertise with commercial responsibility and acts as the primary contact point for laboratories, healthcare customers and key stakeholders.
You will support existing customers, identify growth opportunities, drive tender activities, and contribute to the continued expansion of SERO's sales.
This role covers several regions within the Nordics.
Depending on the candidate the position may be based at SERO’s office in Norway or as a remote role.
Frequent travel is an important part of the position.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Account Management
Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers, identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth within the assigned territoryConduct customer visits, product presentations and follow-up activities, manage key accounts and support contract implementationActively promote and sell SERO’s portfolio across the Nordic region, including quality controls, calprotectin and FOBT products, and identify opportunities to expand this business segmentIdentify and lead tender opportunities in the assigned territory, strengthen customer relationships and market positioningMonitor market developments, competitors and customer trends, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives and market development projectsSupport tender activities in other territories when required
Technical and Customer Support
Provide first-line product guidance and support to customers, including basic onboarding and follow-up, and coordinate complex technical inquiries
Marketing and Projects
Communicate SERO’s message and product philosophy through central and locally initiated marketing activities, and represent SERO at relevant conferences, exhibitions, meetings and customer eventsMaintain awareness of market trends, competitive activity and laboratory developments, and record customer interactions, opportunities and market intelligence in CRMContribute to improvements in customer communication and sales processes, and support or lead other projects and activities when required
Planning and Administration
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer plans, manage territory activities through CRM, and support reporting and business planning activities
Required Qualifications and experience
Scientific or laboratory-related degree (Biomedical Scientist, Laboratory Scientist, Chemistry, Biology or equivalent)Experience from the IVD, diagnostics, laboratory industry or experience working in laboratories, hospitals or another healthcare settingProven ability to work independently and manage own activitiesExperience in customer-facing roles
Language Requirements
Fluency in at least one Scandinavian language, Swedish is an advantage
