The project is led by Institute for Energy Research (IFE) in Norway and is a European project with Norwegian industry and both Norwegian and European academic partners. About the position We need a candidate who can work with programming and data-analysis on sea ice and sea ice interaction with structures.  Required competence is good programming skills in MatLab and Python, and preferably with knowledge about probabilistic analysis and statistics. Your immediate leader is Head of Department. The assignments are at an academic level and must consist of scientific or artistic assistance. ------------------ The appointment is to be made in accordance with the regulations in force concerning State Employees and Civil Servants and national guidelines for appointment as PhD, post doctor and research assistant. For a period of until one year. -------------------------------- The engagement is to be made in accordance with the regulations in force concerning State Employees and Civil Servants, and the acts relating to Control of the Export of Strategic Goods, Services and Technology. Candidates who by assessment of the application and attachment are seen to conflict with the criteria in the latter law will be prohibited from recruitment to NTNU.
