The position will be focused on the thermodynamics of refractory metals and the production of specialty alloys with new carbon-free methods. The Postdoctoral fellow will be part of projects where both the university, SINTEF, Norwegian industry and EU project participants are partners. The candidate will be a part of a research group of about 20 PhD candidates and Postdoctoral researchers. The Postdoctoral fellow will also work closely with research institutions like SINTEF and the Norwegian and European industry in both Norwegian- and EU funded projects focused on refractory-slag-metal thermodynamics. The purpose of a postdoctoral position is to build up a researcher profile that qualifies for a position as associate professor. Salary and conditions As a Postdoctoral Fellow (code 1352) you are normally paid from gross NOK  633 400, - per annum before tax, depending on qualifications and seniority. From the salary, 2% is deducted as a contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund. The period of employment is 3 years (including career promotion work / teaching duties) The position is externally funded by both the Norwegian Research Council and the EU Horizon program.
