About the Role Are you a people-oriented leader with a passion for developing teams and ensuring operational excellence? We are looking for an experienced and motivated Crewing Manager to lead our Crewing department and ensure the recruitment, development, and support of highly competent seafarers across our fleet. As Crewing Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of crew management across our fleet. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, cost control, recruitment, and the continuous development of our seafarers. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Crewing department Collaborate closely with Crewing Managers, Fleet Managers, Vessel Superintendents, and other partners across the Knutsen Group Prepare and manage annual manning budgets and monitor performance against budget targets Ensure compliance with crew matrix requirements for the fleet Lead recruitment, promotion, and succession planning for officers and crew Manage communication and negotiations with seafarers' unions when required Participate in DOC, MLC, and TMSA audits, demonstrating compliance and best practices Support Fleet Managers and Vessel Superintendents on crewing-related matters Responsible for OPEX reporting and follow-up Qualifications Degree in Human Resources, Management, Finance, or other relevant disciplines Alternatively, relevant maritime experience as Master or Officer Experience from crewing operations within the maritime industry Solid knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labor-related matters Understanding of MLC and maritime compliance systems (SMS) Good knowledge of the shipping industry Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal We are looking for a person who: Is a confident and self-driven leader Motivates and develops people and teams Has a proactive and positive mindset Delivers work of high quality and accuracy Is structured, organized, and detail-oriented Communicates effectively with people at all levels of the organization Has strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Is fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken Thrives in a collaborative and international environment We Offer A key leadership position in a respected international shipping company A professional and collaborative working environment Opportunities for personal and professional development Competitive compensation and benefits The opportunity to influence and develop crewing operations across a world-class fleet Join us in shaping the future of crewing at a leading international shipping company.
