Ophthalmologist – Hospital in Eastern Norway We are seeking an Ophthalmologist A hospital in Eastern Norway is seeking a qualified and motivated Ophthalmologist to join its ophthalmology department. As an Ophthalmologist, your responsibilities may include: Examination, assessment and treatment of patients with ophthalmic conditions. Outpatient consultations and patient follow-up. Performing ophthalmic procedures and surgery according to your qualifications and experience. Preoperative assessments and postoperative follow-up. Collaboration with other medical specialties and healthcare professionals. Participation in multidisciplinary meetings, departmental activities and quality-improvement work. Participation in the on-call rota in accordance with applicable agreements and your level of competence. Supervision and training of colleagues and medical students where relevant. We are looking for a physician who: Is a specialist in ophthalmology, or is approaching completion of specialist training. Holds a medical degree from an EU/EEA country. Has relevant clinical experience in ophthalmology. Is able to work independently while also contributing actively to a multidisciplinary team. Has strong clinical judgement and a patient-centred approach. Has good communication and collaboration skills. Is motivated to learn Norwegian and relocate to Norway. Before starting work, you must have: Norwegian medical authorisation. Norwegian specialist approval in ophthalmology. Documented Norwegian language skills at a minimum B2 level.
