Experienced Cook Wanted – Fire Grill & Latin American Cuisine Do you have experience working in a professional kitchen and enjoy working with quality ingredients, open-fire cooking and bold flavours? Restaurante Carmen in Lillestrøm is looking for an experienced cook to join the team. Carmen is a Latin American restaurant in the heart of Lillestrøm, with a menu inspired by flavours and culinary traditions from across Latin America. A major part of Carmen’s kitchen is cooking meat over the fire grill. We are therefore particularly interested in cooks who are confident working with meat, understand temperatures and different cuts, and enjoy working with fire and high heat. Previous experience working with a Josper grill or similar charcoal oven/grill is a big plus. We are looking for someone who: Has previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or professional kitchen Is confident working with meat and grilling Has experience with a Josper grill or similar equipment – a big advantage Can work efficiently and stay organised during busy services Takes pride in quality, flavour and presentation Works well as part of a team Can communicate in English. Speaking Norwegian and/or Spanish is a big advantage Previous experience with Latin American cuisine is an advantage, but not a requirement. What matters most is that you are a skilled and motivated cook who wants to learn the concept and become part of the team.
